Jale's Freehouse & Inn
Just a few years back Jale, a hearty man with a deep bellowing laugh, was coming to grips with having to sell the small food & lodging business he'd carved out for himself, just to make ends meet. Now his business is booming -- travelers coming from the coastal towns and cities favor the southern road that leads right through his small town, making his establishment the ideal stop-over place. All kinds of adventurers have come through Jale's in the last few years... and the owner has a few good stories to tell, too.
ADVENTURE BOARD
(Last Update: Feb 05 2013)
Jale often talks about this one group of adventurers who came through about a year back, saying they were headed southeast following an old map. They spoke of treasure and ancient relics -- perhaps such things awaited, sure, but so probably did great dangers. One of the men left his daughter, Elisa, in the man's care, promising to come back with enough gold to cover the expenses for her care twice over. They haven't yet returned, and Elisa has spent the year earning her keep as one of Jale's kitchen employees. They both want to know if her father is still alive; follow the clues in Elisa's memory to find the treasure and, hopefully, her father.

In the Outer World, there are those who live by the gun... and die by the gun. Rumor has it that a town not far off is nightly haunted by the ghost of a lonesome gunslinger. No one knows why the ghost lingers in this world or what it wants, but the townsfolk are scared. They're willing to pay for someone with magic powers to come and exorcise their phantom.

A large, important-looking chest has been found in a beach-side cave two days journey west. The locals are saying that it's cursed -- even the strongest men have been unable to lift it an inch, and no amount of effort or skill was able to pick open or break its lock. In a strange twist, two glass bottles were found nearby, each with a map inside, and on the back of each map was half a drawing of a key. It seems that a treasure hunt is afoot, but what awaits inside the sealed chest?
